Yesterday we sent 49 of our refugees from our summer camp to Madrid Spain. Spent a couple days signing up those that wanted to go and had to answer many questions. Spanish authorities want to take in more refugees but can’t get many to go. They were grateful for our efforts and ability to pull this group together.
The bus has since arrived in Madrid, and we received happy calls back. They were greeted very well, upon existing from the bus, even played the Ukrainian national hymn! Handed out flowers to adults, toys to children… Placed in good housing. Everyone is very happy and grateful that we sent them there and thanking God for the Spanish people for taking them in!
